The first time we ran this competition back in 2021, RMIT student Felix Gailey’s work ‘Omnidirectional Sojourn’ was awarded the winning entry. This year we are seeking photo submissions that respond to the theme 'Brunswick: People & Place'.

The selected work will to be exhibited on a 6m x 2m sized billboard at 17 Union Street, Brunswick for 12 months. The winner will be selected by judges Jeff Provan (founding director of Neometro), Derek Swalwell (one of Australia’s preeminent photographers) and the residents of 17 Union Street, Brunswick by Neometro.

Submissions are due by Friday 12th of April, please email to photo@neometro.com.au with the winner being announced in the May edition of Open Journal.

17 Union Street by Neometro is located in Brunswick's Jewell Station Village, adjacent to bike paths, close to local parks and gardens, public art and events, cafes and independent retail. The billboard is visible from the Upfield bike path, and offers great exposure for both emerging or established photographers.
