17 Union Street is a collaboration between Melbourne’s leading design advocates – Neometro, BKK Architects and Clare Cousins Architects. Sharing, debating and learning from each other, these three parties have come together to create an exemplar of good urban design. We see design as a holistic pursuit – architecture, interior design, community activation and sustainability. These themes converge together with the underlying focus on how the individual will live, prosper and enjoy his or her apartment.

Both functionality and aesthetics are important in everything we do. 17 Union Street’s interiors have been crafted by Clare Cousins Architects to offer in-built design details selected for practicality and durability, creating flexible spaces that allow the resident to use their homes in whatever way best suits their lifestyle.

Sustainable living at 17 Union Street is about creating infrastructure that supports resilient communities whilst incorporating environmentally sustainable design principles into the built form.
